London calling to the faraway towns…

Masa and I will be heading to
London for the INTA Annual Meeting 2026 from 2–6 May, representing KIPB Japan and looking forward to a good week of catching up and making new connections.

So if you fancy a natter over a cup of tea, coffee — or possibly something a little stronger — please do get in touch. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect, and equally good to make new acquaintances.

If we’ve not met before, KIPB is a Japanese boutique IP firm working with overseas firms on Japanese patents, trade marks, and designs, with a focus on clear, actionable advice and quick communication when things are shifting fast.

I’m originally from the UK and work as an IP consultant for our international clients. Masa heads our trade mark and design practice.

📍 Central London (
Covent Garden / Liverpool Street station)
📅 Flexible during the week

See you in London!

In accordance with the rules introduced last year, applicants may request the temporary suspension of the examination of a divisional application until the result of an appeal for the parent application. This has made it more efficient for examiners to examine divisional applications with reference to the appeal results and enabled applicants to refine their divisional claim strategies based on the outcome of the appeal.
